Storyboards
I have worked on hundreds of storyboards for this animatic. There is such a magic to being able to string together pictures into the beginnings of a film! This animatic is for our senior project film, in which a middle aged man falls into a magical girl world and has to face his inner demons!
This second animatic and the further world building shown in the video is for a personal story about a young girl who uncovers the past of her dying city and tries to find a way to save it.
GoomVille - Explored
To create a unique hand-painted feel, I used a very unique process for this animation. I unwrapped each object, traced out the patter, and individually painted each object's texture with my own oil paints. After adding these textures back to the scene with normal maps included, the town now felt like it was hand-painted, well, because it is! attached are other forms of exploration I have done for this frog world of mushroom houses, called Goomville.
